PRESIDENT TOURS ULUDAG TOURIST AND RECREATION CENTER IN ILISU
Visiting Gakh region, President Ilham Aliyev toured April 12 the Uludag Tourist and Recreation Center in Ilisu village. Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev informed the Head of State that the Center Uludag covers the area of 4 hectares has a hotel, cottages, 100-seat diner, dance floors, sports grounds and other facilities for the rest and recreation. “The first stage of the construction activities has already been completed, and it is now ready to accept fifty tourists,” said the Minister adding “construction activities on the second stage are in progress.” President Ilham Aliyev highly appreciated the created falsities noting the government will continue to increase attention and care about development of tourist industry in this region.

In Gakh, the Azerbaijani leader also visited Gakh-Ingiloy village largely inhabited by ethnic Georgians. The villagers told the President they have never been subjected to any discrimination, but have always been living in brotherhood with their neighbors. The Head of State said he would continue the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s political course towards ensuring the rights of ethnic minorities, and religious tolerance. In Gakh-Ingiloy village, the President also familiarized himself with the 19th century Church of Saint Georgi, where lit candles. Local priest presented the Gospel to the Head of State.
