PRESIDENTS OF AZERBAIJAN AND KAZAKHSTAN MEET IN ALMATY
The heads of state stressed rise of authority of both countries on the international arena.
The Azeri-Kazakh relations founded by joint efforts of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and President Nursultan Nazarbayev successfully develop, President Aliyev said. Visit of the Kazakh President to Baku yields real fruits, he stressed.
President Nazarbayev said there are great potential opportunities to further develop the bilateral relations, noting the people of Kazakhstan are also happy with accomplishments of Azerbaijan in the field of economy. The nationwide leader always supported Kazakhstan in significant questions, the Kazakh leader said. Positions of both countries on status of the Caspian coincide, and the regional cooperation related to Caspian sets favorable conditions for further cooperation, he emphasized. Developing its oil-gas sector successfully, Kazakhstan is keen in study experience of Azerbaijan in this direction.
The heads of state expressed hope for larger extent of cooperation in economic field, including in the field of agriculture.
The heads of state also has exchange of views on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
