RADICAL OPPOSITION DISAPPOINTED OF RASUL GULIYEV’S NON-ARRIVAL TO BAKU
Speaking to journalists, the director general of AZAL Jahangir Askarov said:
Today at 14.56 p.m. on local time, we were addressed by the “London Executive Aviation” Company to permit the special charter aircraft en route Farnboro-Simferopol-Baku to land at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. They informed on landing of the Company’s “Challenger-C560” plane in Baku at 19.45 pm. According to international standards, the address should be responded during 72 hours. After 1 hour 52 minutes we answered positively the address, noting we can receive the aircraft in convenient time. At 16.48 pm the answer was mailed both to all dispatcher services of “London Executive Aviation” Company and Simferopol. They wanted to provide with fuel and accept five passengers on board. We agreed.
5 minutes after sending this answer, at 16.53 pm the “London Executive Aviation” answered that the man who ordered the aircraft refuses to fly. Among the five passengers also was Rasul Guliyev. I think, it was Rasul Guliyev who ordered the plane. Therefore, we suggest that Rasul Guliyev himself has refused of the flight. We called on the Company’s dispatcher, who said that the chief passenger had refused to fly and the plane from Simferopol returned to Farnboro, which is near London.
I reiterate that after the address we immediately answered we are ready to receive the plane in Azerbaijan, at the Heydar Aliyev Airport, but they did not come. This is official information. I shall send this information to mass media.
As I said, the “London Executive Aviation” Company has presented us the list of the passengers on board and their documents. They are five.
1. Robert Alexander Stwuart, July 7, 1949, citizen of England
2. Famil Guliyev, June 30, 1980, citizen of England
3. Andrew Hobson, May 17, 1979, citizen of England
4. Ilgar Guliyev, November 28, 1957, citizen of England
5. Rasul Guliyev, December 10, 1947, citizen of Azerbaijan.
