REFUGEE AND IDP SCHOOLCHILDREN TO BE PROVIDED WITH FREE TEXTBOOKS
Commenting on this fact, press service of the Ministry of Education, said to AzerTAj correspondent that this action is being held according to the Presidential Decree of February 20, 2003 and basing on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of August 20, 2003. Ministry takes all necessary measures for the soonest textbooks’ supply to schools. Parents are requested not to buy textbooks for 5th form schoolchildren and refugee and IDP schoolchildren of 6-11th form. The textbooks will be handed out to them at schools.
Children residing in camps and carriages and studying in independent refugee schools will be provided with the free textbooks first of all. It should be noted that like it was before, 1-4th form schoolchildren will be provided with free textbooks. These textbooks have been already supplied to schools. Pupils of governmental secondary schools will be fully provided with textbooks.
Ministry of Education informs that students from refugee families, having entered in 2002/2003 paid departments of governmental higher and secondary special educational establishments will be exempted form payment for education in 2003/2004.
