Rome Trevi Fountain enters Guinness Book of Records
Baku, October 18 (AZERTAC). Rome`s Trevi Fountain enters the Guinness Book of Records in the number of people simultaneously having thrown coins into it. Official observers recorded how over fifteen hundred people simultaneously threw 1 eurocent coins into the fountain.
The previous record was registered in India, and involved around 80 people less.
In Rome this number of people was assembled with the help of text messages.
Throwing coins into the Trevi Fountain is a long-standing tradition among tourists.
The tourist site daily `earns` a thousand and a half euros. All coins are subsequently donated to Red Cross or other charities.
