Samad Seyidov: Azerbaijan-U.S. relations have entered a new strategic phase

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Samad Seyidov, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Affairs, held several meetings in the United States to discuss the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-U.S. relations.
Samad Seyidov noted that the documents signed in Washington on August 8 have already elevated the Azerbaijan-U.S. relations to a new level. These documents serve to establish strategic relations, ensure peace, security and development in the region, as well as protect Azerbaijan's national interests at the highest level.
As part of the visit, the delegation met with congressmen and expressed its gratitude to President Donald Trump, including support for the peace process. Samad Seyidov emphasized that talks were held not only about the temporary waiver of Amendment 907, but also about its complete removal from the agenda.
The delegation includes Azerbaijani MPs, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strategic think tanks, as well as religious communities.
