SCIENTISTS OF FRANCE ON MASS DEMONSTRATION
Last times, employees of the scientific-research institutions of France forwarded certain demands before the government on raise of wages in connection with the worsening living conditions. As the government has not yet undertaken definite measures in this direction, in early March the scientific public goes on strike since 12 March. Act of protest aims at improvement of their living conditions.
The 12 March meeting was attending by tutors, students of higher education institutions and secondary schools. On this day, 68 thousand of people from numerous cities and provinces staged a walkout. Organizers warned the government on the forthcoming larger demonstration on 19 March.
It has to be reminded that in sign of delay of the answer of government, 976 chiefs of labs and 1110 heads of groups rejected from their positions.
