SEMINAR ON EUROPEAN HUMAN RIGHTS STANDARDS COMMENCES IN BAKU
Speaking at the event Ombudsperson of Azerbaijan Ms. Elmira Suleymanova outlined the work done in the country to ensure and protect human rights. She said Azerbaijan attaches importance to cooperation with the European Union, pointing out the need to improve managerial work and study international experience in this sphere.
Representative of the Council of Europe General Directorate of human rights David Culina spoke of significance of the European Human Rights standards noting the importance of the role the ombudsman institution, government and national courts play in ensuring human rights.
Participants of the seminar will heard a number of related reports.
