SESSION OF CIS ECONOMIC COUNCIL TAKES PLACE IN MOSCOW
The basic question of the agenda was preparation for session of the Council of heads of the CIS governments to pass on November 25 this year. As minister of the industry and power of the Russian Federation Victor Khristenko informed at opening, the said session passes after summit of heads CIS states in Kazan where has been put the question on activation of integration processes on CIS space. He said that at the meeting of the heads of states in Kazan, the assignment has been given to heads of the governments of the countries of Commonwealth to raise the role of CIS Economic Council.
At session of the Economic Council, discussed were the questions of economic cooperation of the countries of Commonwealth. In particular, projects of complex of actions on promotion on the home market of the CIS and the markets of the third countries of the competitive production which is produced by national enterprises for the period till 2010, the project of the convention on frontier cooperation of the CIS states, the questions on creation of favorable legal and economic conditions for expansion of leasing activity in the CIS countries, the questions of tariff policy and some questions to be considered during the discussions of the Council of the heads of CIS governments.
