“Spain is interested in strengthening relations with Azerbaijan,” said Сhargé d’affaires of Spain in Azerbaijan Ignacio Sanchez Taboada.

He said that the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Spain in 2007 and the Spanish embassy in Azerbaijan in 2014 has played a crucial role in the development of relations between the two countries in the fields of trade, commerce and tourism.

He also said that Azerbaijan may benefit from Spanish assistance in the spheres of agriculture, tourism and culture.

“We also attach great importance to political relations. Our positions coincide on many issues. We hope that high level reciprocal visits will take place between the two countries soon,” he added.
