SPEAKER OF AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT MEETS UAE RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS AND SHARIAT COURTS ADVISER
Ogtay Asadov spoke of prospects of the friendly relations between two countries, emphasizing that such visits serve widening and strengthening of the ties.
Chairman of Milli Majlis expressed gratitude to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates for support of the fair position of Azerbaijan in settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the rendered assistance to the refugees and IDPs, noting the necessity of continuation of this assistance.
Mr. Asadov expressed satisfaction with the existent level of parliamentary links, also added that the friendship groups set in both parliament play significant role in this.
Ali Bin as-Said Abdurahman al-Hashim said he had come to Azerbaijan on invitation of the Caucasus Moslem Office and expressed pleasure with the visit. There is good ground for development of relations between two countries, he stressed. Mutual visits expand the relations. And the key goal of this visit is to have exchange of views on all-round development of bilateral links, he said.
In the meeting attended by Head of the Office of the Caucasus Moslems Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to UAE, Eldar Salimov, members of Azerbaijan-UAE Inter-Parliamentary friendship group and other officials, discussed were a number of questions of mutual interest.
