SPEECH OF THE PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV
Dear residents of Zardab, I cordially greet all of you. Today I have arrived in Zardab region, I am together with you, and I shall familiarize with the situation. Having arrived here, I have seen, that big work has been done on accomplishment and creation.
Speaking of the development of regions in the country, the President said:
‘As you know, as a result of performance of the State Program of social and economic development of regions in Azerbaijan, it is planned to open more than 600 thousand new workplaces majority of which is already opened during two years. Socio-economic development of regions, realization of infrastructure projects, work on accomplishment and creation will allow to achieve the further all-around development of Azerbaijan as prospects of development of our country very much please and are extremely clear. I very much want, that each region of Azerbaijan, that each regional center answered modern standards, energy supply improved. In a word, that in a daily life of people there were positive changes. Today we work in this direction. The confident development of Azerbaijan is available. I hope, that in forthcoming years we shall achieve even more significant successes’.
Further, the Head of Azerbaijan State gave full description of the accomplishments the country reached in short period of time. He, in particular, dwelt on socio-economic alterations in all regions of Republic.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev warmly talked to inhabitants, took interest in their everyday vital activities. The inhabitants have noted opening new workplaces in the region, successful performance of social and economic programs. They reminded of attention and care of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev about them. They wished the head of state successes in the further activity.

The same day, President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Museum in the city of Zardab. **
The President, on 30 June, took part at the ceremony of commissioning of an apartment built for the families of victims and Karabakh invalids.

Then, President of Azerbaijan has inaugurated the 16th branch of “Bank of Baku” OSC in the city of Zardab. **
On the way to Baku, President Aliyev made a stopover in Agsy region, met with inhabitants.
