As is informed, the summer session on the topic “Prospects of integration of the Euro-Atlantic Alliance to the three-sea region” has started in Baku, 3 July.

The event will last a week.

Rge event will include lectures on the topics “NATO in the new safety environment”, “Security around three sea and cooperation”, “Prospects of cooperation on the South Caucasus”, “NATO’s role in the Black Sea” and others.

The NATO Assistant Secretary Jean Fourne, the ambassadors of Italy, Norway and Georgia to Azerbaijan addressed the event. The goal of the session is to raise public awareness of NATO policies and structures and reaching out to the civil society.

Deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov said the event is of great importance from the point of view of Azerbaijan’s integration to the NATO.

The coordinator on the South Caucasus countries Romualdas Razusk, professor of the US Montana University Thomas Golts, and representatives of diplomatic corps took part at the event.
