The Globalist Malaysia publishes interview with Azerbaijani Ambassador
In the interview, the Ambassador highlights Azerbaijan-Malaysia diplomatic relations, Azerbaijan`s economic achievements, tourism opportunities, historic monuments, business environment, national cuisine, music, Azerbaijan-initiated international and regional projects, and Armenia`s military aggression against the country.
The Ambassador says Azerbaijan has rented from Malaysia Measat Satellite Systems to launch its first communications satellite, Azerspace-1. He also mentions a memorandum on cooperation signed between Silk Way Company of the Azerbaijan Airlines and Malaysian MASkargo company.
On the tourism sector of Azerbaijan, Mr. Abdullayev says the past few years saw the opening of many 5-star hotels in the country. He said the country was visited by nearly two million tourists in 2013.
The Ambassador speaks of the trade relations between the two countries, saying favourable business environment has been created in Azerbaijan.
Responding to a question on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Ambassador Abdullayev highlights the history of the problem. He says that 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s lands have been occupied as a the result of Armenian aggression, adding international organizations including the UN and OIC adopted resolutions demanding an immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian occupation forces from Azerbaijan`s territories.
The Ambassador also thanks the Malaysian government for supporting Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
