Baku, December 11 (AZERTAC). Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) Cemil Çiçek on the occasion of the Human Rights Day addressed the nation.

According to the Turkish media, in his address, Cemil Çiçek noted that the highest value of man ever was freedom of person.

“Today we have been established as a democratic state and put an end to any kind of political persecution. The freedom of speech, conscience and choice has become norms in our society. But, there is still violation of human rights in the world. The rights of about one million of our Azerbaijani sisters and brothers are still violated”, Mr. Çiçek stated.
