THREE AZERI GRANDMASTERS TO COMPETE IN GIBTELECOM MASTERS TOURNAMENT

Baku, 26 January (AZERTAC). Three Azerbaijani chess grandmasters will compete in an international Gibtelecom Masters tournament which kicks off tomorrow bringing together 50 players from various countries.

Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on Vugar Hashimov who will be seeded first in the Swiss system tournament of 10 rounds.

Hashimov`s teammates Gadir Huseynov and Tahir Farhadov are not seeded, but Azeri coaches say they expect good performance from them.
