TO PARTICIPANTS OF BLACK SEA BUSINESS FORUM
I cordially greet and congratulate you on the occasion of the Black Sea Business Forum.
Integration to world economy plays important role in every country’s development. At present, expansion of overseas relations, along with mutual benefit form this cooperation for those countries opens reliable opportunities for their active participation in the globalization process. From this point of view, the regional cooperation has great importance.
Located in the juncture of the East and West, Azerbaijan has through the historical Silk Road centuries-oil trade links with the Black Sea basin countries. The Black Sea basin simultaneously is our country’s bridge in integration to Europe. It is not casually that at the end of last century, the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank created with a view to support the development and strengthen cooperation among the countries in the Caspian and Black Sea basin has in short time quickly developed and become an authoritative regional organization. The Republic of Azerbaijan attached special attention to cooperation with the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank supporting development of separate economic branches in region and actively taking part in financing necessary projects.
The gathering of Board of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank and the business Forum organized in the frame of this action in Baku is a landmark event for our country that experiences economic development period. Apparently, socio-economic progress is possible only in the conditions of state support for entrepreneurial development and in existence of mutually beneficial business ties. Therefore, we are convinced that the Bank’s activities, by forming both business environment and supporting large economic projects in region, in the whole, serves progress of our country and rise welfare of people. I believe that the carried out activities will both in region and in Azerbaijan make valuable contributions to development of economic in the coming years.
Emphasizing importance of today’s action for the Black Sea and Caspian basin countries, once again I wish success to You.
