TRANSBOUNDARY POLLUTION OF KUR RIVER DISCUSSED IN TBILISI
A delegation of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources attended the seminar. Participants of the event discussed issues related to preparation of the above-mentioned plan by the South Caucasian countries, and determined the responsibilities each of the states should bear for polluting the Kur river. They also considered measures to create a system of interactive information exchange between the countries keeping in mind the impossibility of contacts between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It should be reminded that Azerbaijan in the region to join the Helsinki Convention Of Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes by signing it in March 2000
