Turkmenistan's ambassador addresses letter to Prime Minister Ali Asadov
Baku, November 20, AZERTAC
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Gurbanmammet Elyasov addressed a letter to Prime Minister Ali Asadov regarding Azerbaijan’s decision on the full participation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the letter reads:
“Dear Mr. Prime Minister!
I sincerely congratulate you on the decision of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia ‘On the full participation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia’!
This is undoubtedly a momentous occasion. It marks the transformation of Central Asia and Azerbaijan into a single geopolitical and geoeconomic space, signifying the enduring unity of our peoples and states, founded on brotherhood, good-neighborliness, equality, and cooperation, as well as on an absolute understanding of the inseparability and indivisibility of our historical destiny.
As you know, during the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in the ‘Avaza’ National Tourism Zone this August, an extraordinary Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia was convened at the initiative of Turkmenistan. It was at this meeting that Turkmenistan invited Azerbaijan to join the Consultative Meeting as a full member, thereby becoming a key participant in this format, further strengthening its ties and comprehensively integrating it into the family of fraternal nations.
I am confident that, taking into account the political influence, enormous resource, industrial and technological potential of brotherly Azerbaijan, as well as its achievements in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, Azerbaijan’s participation in the Consultative Meetings will become a defining element in the comprehensive rapprochement of our countries and peoples. It will stimulate active participation in modern trends in regional and international development, and will increase the role and weight of the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan on the global stage as responsible, united partners, aware of their worthy role and place in the global coordinate system and ready to jointly achieve their goals.
Please accept my sincere congratulations once again!
Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health and success in your responsible work.”
