TurkPA prepares for its summit
Baku, November 18 (Baku). The Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TurkPA) with its headquarters in Baku does everything to become an authoritative international organization.
As a result of done works, TurkPA has become an observer member at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) uniting 165 countries` parliaments and about 30 international parliament organizations, and has a special status at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
Now, TurkPA prepares for its summit slated for March next year in Astana, Kazakhstan. The participants are going to discuss questions of socio-legal, economic, trade and energy affairs, setting up three permanent committees on legal and international cooperation, election of the committees’ chairmen, deputies and members, as well as appointment of secretaries.
The Astana meeting intends also to adopt plan of action for 2011-2012, appropriate decisions on the emblem and other attributes of the Assembly.
