TURKPA Secretary General meets with members of OTS Council of Elders

On November 4, Ambassador Ramil Hasan, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), met with a delegation of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), led by its Chairman Binali Yıldırım, at the TURKPA International Secretariat.
The delegation included Hasan Hasanov, Former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Ikram Adyrbek, Member of the Council of Senators of the Parliament of Kazakhstan; Apas Dzhumagulov, Former Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic; Sodikjon Turdiev, Chairman of the Board of the “Nuroniiy” Fund of Uzbekistan; and Oktay Öksüzoğlu, Former Director of the Information Office of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
To commemorate the significant visit, a tree-planting ceremony was held in the inner courtyard of the Secretariat, symbolizing the enduring cooperation, shared roots, and flourishing future of the Turkic world.
In his welcoming address, Secretary General Ramil Hasan expressed his great pleasure in hosting Chairman Binali Yıldırım and the esteemed members of the Council, describing them as embodying the profound knowledge and wisdom of the Turkic world. He also thanked Yıldırım for his continued support to the TURKPA International Secretariat and for his visit during the early days of Hasan’s tenure.
Chairman Binali Yıldırım congratulated Ambassador Ramil Hasan on his election as TURKPA Secretary General and wished him success in his new role, expressing confidence that he would fulfill his duties effectively, drawing upon his rich experience and political insight.
The meeting was also attended by Birol Akgün, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, and Ufuk Turganer, Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Baku.
The delegation was accompanied by senior advisers, including Ömer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the OTS; Sinan Ülker and Muharrem Çığlık, Chief Advisers to Chairman Yıldırım; Ali Çiviler, Project Director of the OTS; and Seçil Özyanık, Adviser to the Chairman.
Also present at the meeting were TURKPA Deputy Secretaries General Talgat Aduov, Saky Sadykov, and Muhammet Alper Hayali, as well as Secretary of Commission Kadir Yaman.
