Ukrainian Embassy marks Independence Day in Azerbaijan

Baku, September 6 (AZERTAC). The Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan has today arranged an official reception to mark the country`s Independence Day.

Opening the event, Ambassador Oleksandr Mishchenko spoke of Ukraine`s development path that the country had passed after regaining independence.

Touching upon the relationship between Ukraine and Azerbaijan, the Ambassador said it was developing successfully.

Azerbaijan`s Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev congratulated the Ukraniana people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev. The Minister spoke of the history of relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

He said Azerbaijan-Ukraine ties, founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev, were successfully continued by presidents Ilham Aliyev and Viktor Yanukovych.

The reception was attended by officials, MPs, diplomats and representatives of general public.
