Baku, August 3 (AZERTAC). StatementS on cutting aid package to Armenia were made during hearings on Turkey and South Caucasus held at the US Foreign Relations Comittee

Speakers said the US Administration should reduce aid package to Armenia and not include occupied regions of Azerbaijan into the list.
The senate subcommittee approved USD 40 million aid package to Armenia instead of 60 million proposed.
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee also discussed appointment of Francis J. Ricciardone as an ambassador to Turkey. Francis J. Ricciardone is appointed by the US President. Some pro-Armenian senators oppose his candidacy because of his statements against Armenians.
