Uzbek embassy in Azerbaijan hosts official reception to mark country`s Independence Day
Baku, September 5 (AZERTAC). The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan has hosted today an official reception to mark the country`s national holiday - Independence Day.
Opening the event, ambassador Ismatilla Ergashev praised the relationship between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
He noted high-level reciprocal visits contribute to boosting the bilateral cooperation.
The diplomat expressed hope that political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop.
Azerbaijan`s Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev congratulated the Uzbek people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
He said relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were deeply rooted.
Mustafayev noted President Ilham Aliyev attaches special importance to development of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan ties. He also expressed confidence that the bilateral cooperation would further strengthen.
The reception was attended by officials, MPs, diplomats and representatives of general public.
