VI INT’L “ROUND TABLE” OF OMBUDSMEN HELD IN PRAGUE
The Bratislava regional center of the United Nations has carried out in Prague VI International session (round table). The session has been organized for Ombudsmen of Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The head of the department of Azerbaijan Ombudsman on human rights Rahim Rahimov has taken part in the action.
As is stated, in the course of “round table”, discussed was the role of Ombudsman institutes in combat against discrimination and in the question of definition of the discrimination.
At session were speaking representatives of national ombudsman institutes. R. Rahimov has informed on the innovations, forthcoming work and long-term plans in the country in connection with protection of the rights and freedom of the person.
