Then, Bahar Muradova spoke of the independence struggle of Azerbaijan, the great personal experience and political will of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, the achievements gained during the independent years. ‘Today, Azerbaijan is a leading country on the Caucasus and leads many regional projects’, she noted. Ms. Muradova also informed on problems the country encountered in these years.
Eumelio Kabalyero thanked for information provided, expressed pleasure with visit to Azerbaijan. The guest said Cuba is to restore and widen its relations with Russia, Central Asian countries and South Caucasus republics. The goal of visit is to negotiate the questions.
In the meeting, also focused were prospects of bilateral ties, cooperation on the international organizations and other issues of mutual interest.
Member of the Azeri-Cuban inter-parliamentary friendship group Yevda Abramov, the ambassador of Cuba to Russia and Azerbaijan Marti Martineskhorke and other officials were present at meeting.
