Victims of Khojaly tragedy commemorated in Kazakhstan
Baku, February 25 (AZERTAC). A ceremony to mark the 19th anniversary of Khojaly Genocide took place in Kazakh city Aktau within the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign.
Consul general to Aktau Rashad Mammadov updated participants on Khojaly massacre committed by Armenians against Azerbaijani nation. He also briefed on “Justice for Khojaly” campaign initiated by general coordinator of the OIC Youth Foundation on Intercultural Dialogue of Islamic Conference Youth Forum Leyla Aliyeva.
The book “Karabakh realities” published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was also presented. The participants watched a documentary on Khojaly massacre and familiarized themselves with a photo exhibition and the website www.justiceforkhocaly.org.
The event brought together heads of a number of Diaspora organizations, Azeri students and media outlets.
