WOMEN EMPLOYMENT ISSUES FOCUSED
Issues of women’s employment were focused at the “Labor Exchanges” organized in rural and urban residential areas of the Country in 2002-2003. In these exchanges, 3 471 women received relevant jobs, while 532 women were involved in profession trainings and 278 women attracted to public activities.
In this period, through the Labor Exchanges 5452 people were employed in the cities of Baku, Sumgait and Nakhchivan, 2335 of which are women.
As a result of this consecutive and expedient policy carried out by the ministry of labor and social security of population of Azerbaijan, large work has been done in the field of social security and employment of the women in the Republic, AzerTAj correspondent was told at the State Committee for Women Problems.
