WORKING VISIT OF DELEGATION OF CUSTOMS OFFICERS TO USA
In the beginning, the delegation has met in Washington with high-ranking officials of Customs and Boundary Service of the department of internal security of the USA, has familiarized with programs and operational experience of the mentioned service in the field of combat against terrorism, proliferation of mass destruction weapons, and dual-purpose subjects, smuggling of weapons, explosives, other goods, and also with methods of the National Center on revealing the targets, the automated monitoring system of cargoes, systems of definition and estimation of risks, wireless system of checks, the organizations and realization of auditor system.
At the meeting with the management of office of the international connections, discussed was the draft agreement between customs services of two countries “About cooperation in the field of customs affairs”, carried out exchange of opinions, and recognized expedient signing of the relevant agreement in the near future.
Within the framework of visit, the delegation has familiarized with work of the office of training and development created in 1999, has heard the report of the employee of office of wireless check of M. Robert on means of wireless check of passengers, cargoes and containers, the work done by mission of the given structure under the control over export in the direction of protection from mass destruction weapons, and also the report on anticorruption programs which are carried out among employees of Customs and Boundary Service of USA, the report on reception, analysis and distribution of the prospecting information, strategic, operative and common investigation.
Visit of our delegation, which is carried out at financial support of Customs and Frontier Service of USA, continues.
