“YUKSEL DOMANIC” COMPANY PREPARES KARS-AKHALKALKI-TBILISI-BAKU PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDY
Turkish company “Yuksel Domanic” became a winner of the contest for preparation of the Kars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku railway project feasibility study, Ministry of Transport said.
To select the organization that will carry out construction works it is scheduled to organize a contest and form a consortium. By latest estimation, the project will cost $400 million. 68-km-long railway will run through Georgia, the length of the railway to Akhalkalaki will be 32 km. These are the parts, which will be constructed. 160 km of the railway will be just reconstructed. Construction works will start in mid-June next year.
