13TH OANA GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO BE HELD IN JAKARTA
AZERTAC Director General Aslan Aslanov and chief of the section Nazim Khydirov will attend the 13th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies to be held December 9-14 in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta. The event will gather some 100 delegates from 33 OANA member states.
The future of news agencies in the media convergence is among the topics that will be discussed during the event. Speakers will include Prof. Oliver Boyd-Berret of Oo, the United States who specializes in news agency studies.
The ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of Antara news agency will be held.
AZERTAC and Antara will sign a memorandum on news exchange cooperation.
