ABOUT 5 MLN BOOKS KEEP IN AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL LIBRARY
Visiting Azerbaijan Chairman of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel and his accompanying delegation today have visited Azerbaijani National Library after M.F.Akhundov.
Deputy Director of the library Rafael Muradov underlined that the library was founded in 1922 and in 1939 year was named after eminent thinker, dramatist Mirza Fatali Akhundov.
Currently, the library has 25 departments, 26 sections and about 5 mln books in various languages.
Since 1966, Azerbaijani Library has been conducting book exchange with Iranian National Library.
The guests looked over ancient manuscripts and books published in Azeri and Farsi languages.
