Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Latvia meets country`s transport minister
Riga, April 21 (AZERTAC). An ambassador of Azerbaijan to Latvia Elman Zeynalov met with a minister of transport of Latvia Uldis Augulis.
“Azerbaijan and Latvia have achieved significant progress in bilateral ties after the official visit of the Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Latvia in January”, Azeri ambassador said at the meeting. Dwelling on cooperation between two countries in economic sphere, the ambassador emphasized that the upcoming 4th session of the Azerbaijan-Latvia intergovernmental committee on economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, will contribute to the further strengthening of Azeri-Latvian ties.
Latvian minister of transport Uldis Augulis, in turn, emphasized that Latvian side has developed several business suggestions and organized a trip to Ventspil sea port.
The sides then discussed cooperation in the field of transport, in particular, possible establishment of direct regular flights between Baku and Riga.
