Ambassadors of Russia and Belarus visit Imishli region

Ambassadors of Russia and Belarus to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin and Nikolay Paskevic visited the country’s Imishli region. The guests laid flowers at the monument of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, and then visited the School 5 in Imishli region. The pupils spoke about the history and culture of Belarus Republic and the Russian Federation in Russian language.
Ambassadors got acquainted with the textbooks of the Russian sector. The student’s fluent speech in Russian language made deep impression on the guests. The diplomats also visited the kindergarten No. 4.
The friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia were discussed at the meeting held with the war veterans and representatives of the Russian community at the Heydar Aliyev Centre in Imishli region.
Belarus Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Paskevic awarded medals to a group of veterans on the 69th anniversary the victory over fascism in Great Patriotic War.
Ambassadors expressed satisfaction with the friendly relations between the countries and noted that interest in Russian language in Azerbaijan had an impact on the further strengthening of ties.
