AZERBAIJAN HAS 55 DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS ABROAD
Vagif Sadigov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan told a weekly briefing on Wednesday that there are 55 Azerbaijani diplomatic missions in the foreign states and international organizations, of which 46 are embassies, 5 consulates general, 3 permanent missions, and 1 office.
V. Sadigov said Azerbaijan’s embassies are scheduled to open in Mexico, Argentine, Syria, Croatia, while consulate general is to open in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg and consulate in Makhachgala.
Vagif Sadigov said the number of Azerbaijani diplomatic missions has doubled since 2004 .
According to him, 30 foreign embassies, 2 consulates general, 7 honorary consulates as well as 13 offices of international organizations currently function in Azerbaijan.
