Azerbaijan, Hungary discuss energy cooperation

Baku, January 29 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev has met Hungarian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto.

They hailed the Azerbaijan-Hungary relations, adding there are big prospects for developing cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The two discussed the ways of expanding mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary.

Aliyev said the energy cooperation would give a new push to the Azerbaijan-Hungary ties. The Azerbaijani Minister praised close cooperation between the two countries` energy companies.

He noted Azerbaijan successfully cooperates with the European Union in the field of energy, especially in the Southern Gas Corridor.

Szijjarto hailed Azerbaijan`s rapid economic development, and noted Hungary always backs Azerbaijan in all international events, especially the country`s territorial integrity in the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

They also exchanged views over other issues of mutual concern.
