AZERBAIJAN, IRAN DISCUSS PROSPECTS FOR SPORT EDUCATION COOPERATION
A 4-member delegation of Tabriz University, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, is in Azerbaijan to discuss prospects for sport education cooperation.
During the first day of the visit, the guests visited the Alley of Honors to revere memory of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and renowned academician Zarifa Khanum Aliyeva, and laid flower on their tombs.
They also visited the Alley of Martyrs, commemorated brave sons of Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives for independence and territorial integrity of the country and laid flower on their graves.
Assistant Professor of Tabriz University’s Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Vahid Sari said there is a huge opportunity for the students, teachers and professors of Azerbaijan Physical Training and Sports Academy and Iranian University to exchange mutual experience.
At the second day of the visit, the Iranian guests met with Azerbaijan’s deputy minister of Sports and Youth Ismayil Ismaylov to discuss prospects of cooperation.
Mr. Vahid Sari highlighted that Iran attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, the Iranian guest stressed that the visit will boost cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in the field of sports and sport education.
Under the visit, the Iranian guests visited several sport complexes in Baku, including Baku Olympic Complex, “ABU Arena”.
