Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation joins UIAA
Baku, October 11 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation has became a member of the UIAA, the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation. The decision was made at the UIAA General Assembly meeting in Bormio, Italy.
President of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation (AAF) Israfil Ashurli on behalf of the AMF leadership congratulated all mountain-climbers of Azerbaijan on this significant event.
The UIAA promotes the growth and protection of mountaineering and climbing worldwide.
The UIAA fulfils its Mission Statement mainly through the work of its commissions, which make recommendations, set policy and advocate on behalf of the mountaineering community.
