Azerbaijan to build logistics center in Aktau
Baku, Aug 14 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan's Azersun Holding will build a logistics center in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan.
A relevant memorandum of understanding was signed among Azersun Holding, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and JSC Special Economic Zone "Seaport Aktau" in Baku on August 14.
From the Azerbaijani side, the document was undersigned by Deputy Director General of Azersun Holding Nizami Guliyev, AZPROMO Vice President Vidadi Guliyev and from the Kazakh side by Deputy Head of the Seaport Aktau Askar Aityarov.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Aityarov said that the Kazakh side is glad to start cooperation with Azerbaijani companies.
Construction of a new production and logistics center, which Azersun Holding will start, will allow organizing supplies of a variety of zerbaijani products to the local market, including food products, which are very important for the region.
Implementation of the project on the construction of a new logistics center will contribute to the development of non-oil sector of the economy of both countries.
