Azerbaijan to face Egypt in World Team Chess Championship round 8
Baku, December 4 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s national chess team will clash with Egypt in the 8th round of the World Team Championship 2013 in Antalya, Turkey.
After seven ounds, Ukraine lead the table with 12 points followed Russia.
The championship is featuring ten of the top teams from different continents, competing for the title of the championship which will end on December 6.
Each team consists of 5 athletes (4 players + 1 reserve) and one coach/captain of the team for a total of 6 persons.
Time control for the event is 90′/40 moves +30′/end, + 30” increment per move, starting from move 1.
Cups will be awarded to the first three teams and gold, silver and bronze medals for all members (players, reserve and captain) of the first three teams respectively.
