Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan to expand cooperation in culture and tourism field

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Toyli Komekov visited the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. According to press service of the ministry, Minister Abulfas Garayev spoke of the importance of cooperation with Turkmenistan in the field of culture and tourism and the role of the activities carried out between the two countries in the history of cultural cooperation. The Minister also congratulated the ambassador on election of the city of Merv of Turkmenistan as "Cultural capital of the Turkic world" in 2015.
The sides exchanged views on events, tourism and book exhibitions devoted to the Azerbaijani carpets in 2015.
Emphasizing the historical relations of the peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on culture, history, national and spiritual values, Toyli Komekov spoke of the necessity of preparation of action plan, joint projects for the further development of bilateral relations.
