Azerbaijan win Turkey at World Team Chess Championship

Baku, November 27 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s national chess team have defeated Turkey 2.5-1.5 in the opening round of the World Team Championship in Antalya, Turkey.

In this round, Nijat Mammadov defeated Mustafa Yilmaz, while Rufat Mammadov, Eltaj Safarli and Vasif Durarbeyli drew with Alexander Ipatov, Dragan Solak and Baris Essen respectively.

Azerbaijan will next face the Netherlands.
