Azerbaijani paralympic judo fighters bring home 6 medals from Hungary
Baku, December 7 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani paralympic judo fighters claimed a clutch of 6 medals, including 3 golds at the European Championship and the World Youth Judo Games in Budapest, Hungary.
Young judo fighters Gulnar Shiriyeva weighing in at 48kg and Sabina Abdullayeva at 57kg garnered gold medals, while Ibish Alizade and Nurlan Ibrahimov brought home bronze medals from Hungary.
Two-time Paralympic champion Ilham Zakiyev weighing in at over 100kg won gold medal at the European Championship.
Sabina Abdullayeva weighing in at 57kg snatched European silver in spite of serious injury in her leg.
