AZERBAIJANI SPEAKER MEETS WITH CHAIRMAN OF BELARUSIAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT
Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament (the Milli Majlis) Oqtay Asadov met with Chairman of Belarusian Constitutional Court Grigory Vasilevich.
Oqtay Asadov spoke of the history of Azerbaijan`s relationships with Belarus.
The Milli Majlis Chairman stressed the huge role of both countries` leaders in strengthening bilateral relations.
He said Azerbaijan and Belarus have strong economic ties, especially in the field of agriculture.
Mr. Asadov also expressed satisfaction with the level of Azerbaijan-Belarus inter-parliamentary relations.
The Speaker also stressed the necessity to enhance the cooperation between the two countries` judicial and law enforcement authorities.
Chairman of Belarusian Constitutional Court Grigory Vasilevich conveyed the greetings and best wishes from his country’s Speaker to Oqtay Asadov.
Mr. Vasilevich said his country is keen to develop relationships with Azerbaijan in all areas.
He stressed he believes the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Belarusian and Azerbaijani constitutional courts will have a positive impact on the development of the two countries` ties in others sectors.
Also among those in attendance at the meeting, were Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev, head of the Milli Majlis Apparatus Safa Mirzayev and other officials.
