Azerbaijani veteran judo fighters claim 11 world medals

Baku, December 2 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani veteran judo fighters have brought home a clutch of 11 medals, including 7 golds from the world championship in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.

Gold medals came from Elchin Mayilov, Elkhan Rajabli, Rasul Salimov, Rasul Sultanov, Mushfig Jafarov, Vugar Huseynov and Vugar Budagov.

Azerbaijani female fighter Zulfiyye Huseynova grabbed silver, while Farhad Rajabli, Zaur Pashayev and Mahammad Muslumzade won bronze medals.

Azerbaijan ranked 4th in the overall medal table among 54 countries.
