AZERBAIJAN`s BUDGET IS INCREASING YEARLY, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV
Azerbaijan`s budget is increasing yearly, and the country`s 2008 consolidated budget is 12 billion dollars, said President Ilham Aliyev Monday during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss the socio-economic progress in the first quarter of 2008.
“We achieved ten-fold increase against 2003”, the President added saying the government`s major aim is to speed up the settlement of people`s problems.
President Ilham Aliyev said this year saw an increase in investments, and that “we want to use these additional investments for solving the country`s major tasks”
“The budget increase is, of course, the manifestation of the country`s strength and potential”, the President noted.
He said today, Azerbaijan leads CIS countries and is also among the world leaders in per capita budget expenditure.
