AZERBAIJAN`S DEFENSE MINISTER MEETS COMMANDER OF US OKLAHOMA NATIONAL GUARD
Defense Minister of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev met Monday with Harry M. Wyatt III, commander of the Oklahoma National Guard.
The sides stressed US-Azerbaijan cooperation had been intensified for recent time. The two countries cooperate within NATO programs as well.
Abiyev told of the existing situation in the region and Armenia`s aggressive policy. He said peace talks had produced no results, stressed the importance of increasing the international organization`s pressure on occupant Armenia.
Wyatt highly assessed Azerbaijan`s position in the region. He hailed Azerbaijan`s contribution to peacekeeping operations around the world and global war on terror.
US Ambassador in Azerbaijan Anne Derse was present at the meeting.
