Azerbaijan`s FM meets Afghani ambassador

Baku, July 11 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met Interior Minister of Afghanistan Ghulam Mujtaba Patang.

They praised the ties between the two countries as friendly and fraternal.

Mr. Mammadyarov noted the importance of reciprocal visits, saying they contribute to developing the relations.

The Minister hailed the position of Afghanistan on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Mujtaba Patang said Afghanistan was keen to boost cooperation with Azerbaijan across many spheres.

He said there were wide opportunities for boosting bilateral cooperation in various areas. He hailed Azerbaijan's support of Afghanistan.

Minister Patang also noted his country would support Azerbaijan`s stance on the Armenia-Azerbaijan dispute.
