Azerbaijan`s State Independence Day Marked in Poltava
Baku, October 29 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Cultural-Enlightenment Center in Poltava University of Economics and Trade (Ukraine) organized an event dedicated to the State Independence Day of Azerbaijan.
According to the director of the Center Yashar Alkhasov, Rector of the Poltava University Aleksey Nestulya, representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Poltava, as well as, teachers and students of the facility attended the event.
Azerbaijan Cultural-Enlightenment Center was set up on the basis of the contract signed between Baku Slavic and Poltava Universities.
Participants were informed on the history of restoration of state independence of Azerbaijan, rapid development of the country within 20 years. “We tried to inform the attendees about our history, culture, and educational system. Our Center aims at strengthening of friendship and cultural ties between our peoples”, said the director Alkhasov.
A film about Azerbaijan was demonstrated during the event. The attendees familiarized themselves with exhibition of books on Azerbaijan as part of the event.
