AZERI GYMNAST CLAIMS BRONZE IN WORLD CUP

Azerbaijani gymnast Aliya Garayeva has won bronze medal in the rope event in the world cup tournament in Benidorm, Spain.

In the hoop, club and ribbon events, Garayeva ranked 6th. From Spain the Azerbaijani gymnast will head to Japan for the world championship among clubs where she will be joined by her teammates Zeynab Javadly and Samira Mustafayeva.

Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani pair Elchin Mammadov/Emil Yarahmadov ranked 6th in the acrobatic gymnastics world youth championship in Glasgow.
